Maritimes Fishing Overview
The Maritimes are well known for their beauty and their Atlantic salmon fishing and brook trout fishing. The region that I'm referring to is made of Canada's four smallest provinces; New Brunswick, Newfoundland (Labrador) , Nova Scotia, and the smallest Canadian province Prince Edward Island.

Ontario Fishing
Ontario, like British Columbia, has a large variety of fishing opportunities for the hard core angler. The most significant source's of fishing opportunities in the province come from the Great Lakes and the many rivers and streams that feed and drain them.

Manitoba Fishing

Like the rest of the prairies, Manitoba offers some excellent fishing opportunities for walleye, pike, perch and in the north lake trout. What the other prairie provinces lack that Manitoba can lay claim to is some of North America's fisnest channel cat fishing. Manitoba's Red River attracts anglers from around the world who are eager to wrestle with these oversized tough cats.

Alberta Fishing
The southwest corner of this province is famous for its blue chip trout streams, most notably the Bow, the Oldman and the Crowsnest Rivers. Trout fishing on these streams is world class, and anglers come from all around to fly fish these scenic watersheds.

Northern Saskatchewan, like the rest of the Canadian shield, is where the prairies end and the rugged country begins. This is the land of lakes and pine trees, few people and lots of fish!

Saskatchewan Walleye Fishing
We arrived in Nipawin on the Friday. The weather was nice, nearing 20 degrees celsius. Ice off on the river, though,was only a week prior. We had arrived opening weekend, so no fishing reports were available...
