For the record this bear was shot in full charge and would have eaten the dude in the pic if he didn't drop it.
Before anyone else puts any stupid comments consider if you:
a)drop the bear and continue living
b)let the bear eat you out of principal

is this the bear that killed a hiker? if so maybe you should post a pic of the dead half eaten man. thats why they had to take it down, once they get a taste for human flesh theres no going back. so sad....

I hope everyone knows this picture is a phoney. If you surf the net, you will find that a photo editing specialist portrayed this bear to be bigger than it truly is. Don't be vain by all that you see here. No such bear has been shot in this lifetime..

Before you post to this board you should get your facts straight female Kodiak/brown bears can weigh as much as 800 pounds and males as much as 1000 pounds and stand to the height 9 feet. In some remote areas wildlife officials estimate these bears can get even larger. It never ceases to amaze me how things get blown WAY out of proportion. I've spoke to the guy over on huntamerica. He had a tag when he shot it.He was hunting bear. He was very close when he shot it. It was NOT charging him.It was not a man eater. This bear was shot about 2 years ago.
