Tips & Tricks - Gallery - Reports - Page
This page is for those who may be interested in my last fishing excursion, opinion, or what is on my mind at the time. My feeling is that information is good even if the information is bad news. Think about it. Wouldn't you like to know that such and such lake is too low to launch a boat, or poisoned, or just not worth fishing at the current time? Wouldn't you like to know that the road to your next fishing trip is closed due to construction? Every little tid bit of information you have can help you enjoy your next trip better.
One of the reasons I started the Kokanee Page was to give people who like to fish for Kokanee a place to share information. I truly enjoy fishing for them. But I also have a strong love of Flyfishing and just plain bait fishing for any kind of fish, and sometimes the Kokanee fishing just isn't any good. I don't always get out to fish as much as I like. But when I do I'll try to leave a small report of what I saw and what happened. My desire is that others will benefit from my experiences. If you have a question, drop me a line. If I can't answer it, I'll post it so someone else might. Good luck and see you out there.
If you know a guide that would like his information posted on The Kokanee Page - Please contact me!.........Robert A list of CHANGES - Go here to see what's been changed on The Kokanee Page, fishing reports NOT included. |

It's been a pretty busy Spring
for me, so I haven't had the chance to do much fishing. Now my seasonal
allergies have pretty much done me in. With any luck I'll get out three or
four times for the whole year this year, and even then, they will be weekend
trips. I hope to make those trips quality experiences though.
Speaking of quality, I just purchased a new DELL computer. I decided I
couldn't make one as quiet as the DELL. It's not quite the same using a
machine made by someone else. But, it's really quite an experience using a
machine you can't hear running! So, if you're interested, here's the
breakdown of my opinion of the DELL 8200.......Robert
The Good: Quiet!!!!, Fast, Very good 19" Trinitron tube monitor, small
The Bad: Cheap plastic retaining device to hold in pci cards, no Firewire, not very expandable, expensive

Fishing Derby
If you haven't seen the notice on the "Reports" page,
go see it. There's a fishing derby at Lake Simtustus, Oregon in May.
We don't see very many of them in our area. Hopefully someone with the
time and money will make out that way and send in a report. We don't hear
much from that lake, even though it harbors some rather large fishes.......Robert

New Year!
Ok, here's the start of another good Kokanee fishing year. After last year this year will have to go a long way to compete. You just know that all that sunshine last year will help make a state record somewhere. Good luck and happy new year!......Robert
