At five miles long and a mile wide Odell Lake has plenty of room for everyone. It lies right along side of a major highway (58), has excellent resorts, campgrounds, and the most Kokanee I personally have ever seen on a fish finder. This big, deep, beautiful Kokanee lake is the Mother of all Kokanee lakes. Windy at times so be cautious when boating. I usually fish the West end of the lake when the wind picks up. This is another lake that is pretty high up so the water is cold and the fish seem to scatter at various depths making them harder to catch. Once you find the right combination, catching a limit is almost a sure thing. I've always been able to have a great time at this lake. I consider it the best in the state because I haven't found another one better. Please, if you know of a lake with better Kokanee fishing in Oregon than Odell, share your knowledge so we may all be believers. See ya there!
