We were just at Merwin Reservoir in nothern Clark County. I wasn't expecting much as far as Kokanee go but there were still alot in the lake. Most were 60-70 feet deep and schooled up at the mouths of creeks. I jigged a glow in the dark Buzz Bomb and had some action.

I have fished Riffe lake 5 times this year and limited out each time. We fished at the west end near the dam. On the surface in the morning and then to downriggers at 40ft. Water temp. was 62deg. We used a small 2 blade fordfender with a hand tied wedding ring w/2 small hooks. Also, small wee-tags w/2hooks. This proved to be a good method limiting out by 10:00 a.m.. The second lake was Lake Cushman . This kokanee variety had a reddish tinge on its sides and was not as agressive as the Riffe kokanee. Size was a little smaller 10-11 inches. Water temp. was 73deg. and required downriggers at 60ft.
